Miyetti Allah Wants FG to Stop Blackmail, Intimidation Against Herdsmen

Youth wing of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association ,MACBAN on Monday has appealed to the Federal Government of Nigeria to salvage Fulani ethnic race from the ongoing blackmail and intimidation meted on them by farmers communities across the country

In a statement at the end of an extraordinary meeting in Kaduna,
signed by the National Youth Leader of MACBAN Modibbo Abdulkareem Bayero made the appeal.

The Fulani youth of MACBAN urged the Federal Government to enforce
state of emergency in Benue State as Governor Emmanuel Ortom has
already recruited private security outfit from his natives to invade the
nomads settlements in the State.

The Fulani youth of MACBAN said thousands of the nomads livestock
are daily rustled by the livestock guards recruited by the Governor who now used military weapons for their unconstitutional operation
The MACBAN youth emphasized the urgent need for the withdrawal of the so-called anti-open grazing exhibition law staged by Benue and
Taraba State Governors.

MACBAN youth organization noted that thousands of Fulani youth who
reared cattle as their occupational acivities have been placed on

uncertainty as their livestock in Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba
Kaduna States are ransack by the local farmers.

The MACBAN organization then concluded that creation of ivestodk
ministry to cater for special attention on abundant livestock products owned by Fulani race in Nigeria as the utmost solution to the farmers/Fulani herdsmen conflicts in the country.
